Bag Policies
Convention Bag Policy
To promote a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for all attendees, the following Bag Policy applies to all guests, exhibitors, vendors, contractors, talent, and staff entering the event.
Entry into the convention constitutes agreement to comply with this policy, as well as all event rules, venue requirements, and applicable law.
Security Screening and Inspection
All bags, backpacks, purses, tote bags, rolling bags, containers, and carried items are subject to inspection upon entry, re entry, and at any time while on event premises.
Security personnel may request that a bag be opened, moved, searched, or emptied for inspection. Additional screening measures may be used when deemed necessary.
Refusal to submit to inspection may result in denied entry, removal from the premises, badge revocation, or other action deemed appropriate by event management, without refund.
Permitted Bags
The following are generally permitted, subject to screening:
- Backpacks
- Purses
- Tote bags
- Drawstring bags
- Messenger bags
- Diaper bags
- Camera bags
- Small rolling bags or carts for purchases, exhibitor needs, or accessibility use
- Clear bags
- Laptop bags
Permitted items remain subject to size, safety, and operational restrictions.
Restricted or Prohibited Bags and Containers
The convention reserves the right to restrict or deny entry of any bag, container, or item that may create a safety risk, impede operations, obstruct walkways, or interfere with attendee flow.
This may include, without limitation:
- Oversized bags or trunks
- Hard cases without reasonable purpose
- Large storage containers
- Wagons or carts not related to accessibility or approved exhibitor use
- Bags emitting odors, leaking contents, or in unsanitary condition
- Containers designed to conceal prohibited items
Prohibited Contents
The following may not be brought into the event, whether in a bag or otherwise:
- Firearms
- Ammunition
- Explosives
- Fireworks
- Hazardous chemicals
- Illegal drugs or paraphernalia
- Open flames or incendiary devices
- Sharp weapons or prohibited blades (except approved cosplay props where allowed)
- Items intended to harass, injure, intimidate, or disrupt
- Alcohol not permitted by venue rules
- Unauthorized commercial materials for solicitation or distribution
- Any item prohibited by venue management, law enforcement, venue policy, or applicable law
Cosplay Props and Replica Items
All cosplay props, replicas, and prop weapons remain subject to the convention’s Weapons and Props Policy. Separate inspection, tagging, peace bonding, or denial may apply.
A permitted bag does not authorize possession of a prohibited prop item.
Re Entry and Purchases
Items purchased inside the convention, including merchandise, collectibles, and artwork, may be carried in and out of the event, subject to inspection upon re entry.
Re entry privileges may require a valid badge, wristband, stamp, or other event credential.
No Storage or Bag Check
Unless specifically announced in writing by the convention, no bag check, coat check, storage, holding, or item safeguarding services are provided.
Attendees are solely responsible for their belongings at all times.
Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Property
The convention, venue, organizers, affiliates, sponsors, contractors, volunteers, and staff are not responsible for lost, stolen, misplaced, or damaged bags or personal property.
Enforcement and Final Authority
Event management reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to interpret, apply, modify, or enforce this Bag Policy at any time to address safety needs, operational concerns, crowd management, venue directives, or legal requirements.
All determinations made by event management or authorized security personnel are final.
Conduct Policy
Convention Code of Conduct
The convention is committed to providing a welcoming, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all attendees, exhibitors, guests, performers, vendors, contractors, volunteers, staff, and venue personnel.
By attending the event, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct, all posted rules, venue policies, applicable law, and instructions from authorized event representatives.
Failure to follow this policy may result in corrective action, removal from the event, badge revocation, expulsion, suspension from future events, referral to venue security or law enforcement, or other action deemed appropriate by management, without refund.
Expected Behavior
All participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner. This includes:
- Treating others with courtesy and professionalism
- Respecting personal space and boundaries
- Following staff and security instructions promptly
- Using common areas, panel rooms, queues, and exhibit spaces responsibly
- Helping maintain a family friendly and inclusive atmosphere
- Reporting safety concerns or policy violations in good faith
- Supervising minors in your care appropriately
- Respecting venue property and convention equipment
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is not permitted:
Harassment and Abuse
- Harassment of any kind
- Stalking or intimidation
- Threats or threatening language
- Bullying
- Hate speech or discriminatory conduct
- Unwanted physical contact
- Repeated unwanted attention after being asked to stop
- Sexual harassment or inappropriate sexual behavior
Disruptive Behavior
- Fighting or aggressive behavior
- Excessive yelling intended to disturb others
- Line cutting or queue interference
- Disorderly intoxication
- Repeated disruption of panels, performances, screenings, or activities
- Throwing objects
- Blocking aisles, entrances, or emergency exits
- Excessive odor or unsanitary conduct creating a health or guest issue
Safety and Security Violations
- Possession of prohibited weapons or dangerous items
- Tampering with safety equipment
- Entering restricted or staff only areas without authorization
- Evading security screening
- False emergency reports
- Refusal to comply with security or staff directives
Property and Business Misconduct
- Theft
- Fraud
- Vandalism
- Damage to venue or event property
- Unauthorized sales, solicitation, or distribution where prohibited
- Misuse of credentials, badges, wristbands, or access passes
Recording and Privacy Misconduct
- Recording in areas where prohibited
- Harassing use of cameras or phones
- Non consensual photography in private or sensitive situations
- Doxxing or sharing private information to harass others
Cosplay and Costuming Conduct
Cosplay is welcome. However:
- Costumes must comply with applicable costume, prop, and weapons policies
- Attendees must obtain consent before touching costumes, props, or people
- Costumes may not expose prohibited areas where family friendly standards apply
- Large costumes must not create unsafe obstructions or hazards
- Footwear may be required where mandated by venue rules
Hygiene and Personal Responsibility
All attendees are expected to maintain reasonable personal hygiene and wear appropriate attire for a public indoor event environment.
Individuals who create a significant health, sanitation, or guest impact may be asked to remedy the issue or leave the premises.
Minors
Parents, guardians, and chaperones are responsible for minors in their care. Unattended minors may be escorted to a designated assistance area or venue security.
Age restricted programming may require identification and compliance with posted rules.
Reporting Issues
If you experience or witness misconduct, please notify convention staff, security, or the designated guest services area as soon as possible.
When making a report, provide as much detail as reasonably possible, including location, time, and description of the incident.
The convention will review reports in good faith and may investigate as appropriate.
Investigations and Enforcement
Management may investigate incidents, review available evidence, consult witnesses, and make determinations based on the information reasonably available.
Corrective action may include warnings, relocation, line removal, badge confiscation, expulsion, future bans, or law enforcement referral.
Management decisions regarding conduct and safety are final.
No Refunds for Removal
Any person removed or denied access due to policy violations is not entitled to a refund, compensation, or reimbursement unless required by law.
Policy Changes
The convention reserves the right to update, interpret, or enforce this Code of Conduct at any time to address safety, operational, legal, or venue requirements.
